Students will learn about historical figures from the Harlem Renaissance.

Students will use reasoning and empathetic skills to delve into how historical figures think and feel.

Students will use their imagination to think about the future and what contributions and inventions are needed.

Using “mantle of the expert” from educational theater, students empower students to believe in their abilities to create and think for themselves.

This lesson will challenge students to explore histories not often taught, such as the Harlem Renaissance. Students will examine the effect suppressed history has had on our current world and create inventions for an imagined future.
