Music is a World Within Itself

This lesson can be used by educators or parents/caretakers to challenge young people to express gratitude for people in their lives and to explore how music of today is built on music of the past.

It Was All A Dream

Through text analysis of song lyrics, this lesson encourages students to examine how environment, experiences, and societal factors can influence their interpretations of The American Dream.

Dear Body

This lesson explores the rules and limitations society puts on bodies based on race, particularly the Black body. This will engage students to think about the Black body as it relates to their own body.

A Letter of Wisdom

This lesson gives students an opportunity to write their own letter of wisdom to someone they choose.
